I already use SD on a Sony Xperia P phone in a glider (highly recommended - super bright screen). The map & NOTAM display is far superior to SeeYou or any other commercial gliding program out there. It would be great to have a glider pilot's version with some additional features such as:
- final glide calculation / custom glider polars
- gliding task planning (including custom turn point sectors and assigned area tasks)
- glider pilot relevant infoboxes & statistics eg. task speed achieved, thermal average, ...
- connection to Flarm and other glide computers eg. LX7000
